Frequently Asked Questions
- Is instructor-led training free for NetBrain customers?
-
Yes! Virtual instructor-led sessions are available to all NetBrain customers and partners at no additional cost. Private on-site engagements may have associated fees — contact [email protected] for details.
- Should I bring anything with me to the training?
-
Bring a laptop — all lab activities are conducted in NetBrain’s hosted cloud lab environment, so no local installation is required. A removable storage device is helpful for saving any digital handouts.
- Which courses are right for my role?
-
NB101–NB104 are designed for everyday NetBrain operators — network engineers who use the platform for troubleshooting, assessment, and change management. NB210-ILT and NB220-ILT (and the combined 2-Day Power User Training) are for automation builders who want to create and publish their own runbooks and assessments. NB401 is for platform administrators responsible for deployment and governance.
- Can multiple people from my organization attend the same session?
-
Absolutely — we encourage teams to attend together. Bringing multiple engineers to the same session accelerates adoption and allows your team to work through real-world scenarios collaboratively.
- What is the difference between virtual and on-site training?
-
Virtual sessions are hosted monthly via Zoom and are open to all customers. On-site sessions bring a certified NetBrain instructor to your location for a private, team-focused experience. On-site training can be customized to your environment and use cases.
- Can I attend with multiple people from my organization?
-
Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Bringing a team helps accelerate adoption — participants leave with shared context, hands-on lab experience, and the ability to support each other as they apply what they’ve learned. NetBrain automation touches network operations, security, capacity planning, and lifecycle management, so having engineers and architects attend together tends to produce the best outcomes.
- I’ve already started building automation in NetBrain – can you help me troubleshoot during the session?
-
Our instructors will do their best to address questions during the training as time allows. For deeper, one-on-one troubleshooting of specific automation work, we recommend reaching out through the Ask an Automation Expert channel, where you can connect directly with a NetBrain expert outside of the classroom setting.
- How do I request a private on-site session for my team?
-
Contact your NetBrain Customer Success Manager or email [email protected] to discuss scheduling, customization, and logistics.
- Do these sessions count toward NetBrain certification?
-
Yes. Completion of instructor-led courses contributes toward NetBrain University certification requirements. Visit the Certifications page to learn more about the certification program.
- Is this 2-Day Power User Training completely free?
-
Yes! The 2-Day Power User Training is offered at no cost to NetBrain customers and partners. Sessions are available both virtually and on-site at select locations. You can view upcoming dates and register at NetBrain University (nbu.netbrain.com). If none of the scheduled dates work for you, reach out to us — we may be able to arrange a custom session for your team.
- Do you offer a virtual version of this 2-Day Power User Training?
-
Yes — virtual sessions are offered regularly in addition to on-site options. Both formats cover the same curriculum and include full access to the hands-on lab environment. On-site sessions are a great option when you want immersive, face-to-face time with your instructor and peers, but the virtual format is equally effective and more convenient for many attendees. If none of our scheduled dates work for you, contact us to explore scheduling a custom session.
